Review on πŸ’ͺ Powerful and Portable: Makita XDG02Z 18V Compact Grinder for Precision Grinding by John Miller

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Oddly huge/bigger than I expected

This thing is a brick. like the best Makita -Engineers would be working on it. It's huge. Like, VERY BIG. The handle is very thick. It's very easy to use and quite powerful. But it just doesn't feel like it should be that big. The angle grinder for example is well made (Makita 18v) and feels good in hand and is relatively compact However, this tool looks and feels silly Although useful It doesn't have a "lock" button if You use it change heads (e.g. Milwakee 1/8 Grinder) and you have to use the 2 wrenches that come with it to change the end pieces, it's just weird they didn't include it, it's not brushless either , i.e. v it consumes a lot of power and quickly drains the battery. It just doesn't seem like the best Makita could have made of a product. those are pretty bare bones. but i like it and i use it. I hope Makita will create an improved updated version soon!

Pros
  • Short neck design is only 12-1/8" long with battery (not included) for improved maneuverability
Cons
  • Big and bulky
