The ProRes codec is the best option to shoot in 4K and for post production. The codec is easy to use and transfer files. The codec is cost effective. There are no cons to this codec. It is the best and the most used codec for shooting 4K. I will highly recommend this codec to any of my colleagues. This is the best codec for shooting 4K. We need to transfer files to post production and to edit them. We require a stable codec to transfer files and for editing. We required the best option for our clients. The best option was ProRes. This codec is the best and cost effective.

- A wide range colour gamut also available which makes good choice when you want accurate colours especially if working professionally where consistency matters
