After looking at several types of plastic plant markers that reviewers reported biodegrade in the sun, I decided to go back to my old method of popsicle sticks . They don't handle the weather any better, maybe not as well, but they don't leave any plastic in my yard. Thousands will be enough for me for a while. I didn't count, but I see another reviewer says yes, and there were 10 extra sticks. Some of the other brands have reviews saying they were less than promised. The sticks are maybe a millimeter shorter and a bit thinner than the ones I had left over from popsicles, but still strong enough for regular use. Some of them aren't entirely smooth, although I didn't notice the fragments. They are straight with no twist, although some have a very slight curve. The packaging says they are made in China.
