Review on Perixx Peripad-202H Black Wired Numeric Keypad With X-Scissor Keys, 2 USB Hubs, And Tab Key For Enhanced Productivity by Rick Malloy

Seems fine at first but not durable enough for any portable use

Works OK at first but broke for me after only a few uses. Not durable enough to carry in a backpack or laptop case. Unfortunately, portability is the main reason you'd buy something like this.My ENTER key broke off just sliding the keypad into a loose always-open side-pocket after slightly more than a month of very occasional usage, so I can't return it. The trade-off for the keypad's very slightly lower profile (not needed for me anyway) is that the keys aren't retained very well to the base of the unit. The itsy-bitsy retention clips on the underside of the key are unrepairable, too. I'm not even sure the key didn't come broken from the factory as I don't remember any trauma to the keypad. One of the two retention clips is broken but the other retains the ENTER key to the base for cursory review. The key then invariably comes loose after 10-25 keystrokes. Unusable now.

Pros
  • EXTERNAL NUMBER PAD - External number keypad with 19 keys for laptop or keyboard without an integrated number keypad area, Big and bold print keys with a tilted design for maximum visibility and comfortable to use; Dimensions: 5.16 x 3.43 x 0.79 inches
Cons
  • May not be suitable for left-handed users
