This stand is very well made. I have no idea what the negative reviewers are saying, but it isn't. It's heavy, has a great finish, and the Apple Pencil sits perfectly vertically and horizontally. The vertical insert holds the pencil in a perfectly vertical position with no extra force that can wear down the tip but also doesn't grab the pencil, allowing for easy insertion and removal. The horizontal "cradle" position is ideal for a pencil; The charging cap doesn't quite fit the notches but as another customer mentioned, sturdy (someone said it was bullshit - the comment was completely wrong), well made, interesting blue box has more than enough room to stash the pencil cap along the way charging cables and other accessories. The box is really fun, but if you decide not to use it, it can be recycled. I love the weight and feel of this stand; it is well designed and looks great.
