Review on Smart Light Bulbs Alexa Wifi by John Rodriguez

These are completely useless. Use Hue for lightbulbs.

I have 28 TP-Link Kasa devices at home. And these KL bulbs are by far the WORST products on the market. I've owned them for 4 days and have spent 4 days turning them on and off because they keep disconnecting from wifi. They know they are offline because they are no longer on schedule. Oh, it's already 10 p.m., why isn't the lamp on? Let's look at app.ahh. stupid lightbulb out again. There's no real explanation why. I've searched the web and found that the lightbulbs are more likely to turn off on dual-band Wi-Fi networks like 2.4GHz and 5GHz. But when you consider that Kasa/TPLink makes many other devices that work just fine, then you realize these bulbs aren't worth the headache they cause. And honestly, who doesn't have a dual-band network these days? I'm really disappointed but even more disappointed that the only reason I bought them is because I wanted to put my lightbulbs on a dimmer. TPLink/Kasa only makes dimmable wall switches, not dimmable plugs. Other smart plug brands offer dimming, but TP-Link does not. So now I need multiple brands of forks to achieve something as simple as blackout. I'm sorry I'm fully equipped with Kasa now.

Pros
  • Remote Control: Control your smart lightbulb from anywhere with your smartphone using the free Kasa Smart App (iOS, Android). Dim, turn on or off, or change the color of your lightbulb remotely with a tap of your finger.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
