These trays are not designed to be stacked. If you fill them perfectly and don't spill water when you put them in the freezer OR there is water underneath after filling, you may not have any problems - it's really hit or miss. Another thing is that one tray can fill a medium sized glass. In other words, before you use it, fill it up with ice and then fill it up when you use it. I gave it 3 stars because it's inconvenient that it can't be folded as they can stick to each other and take up too much space in the freezer.
