We live in a VERY humid environment, especially in summer when the temperature reaches 120 degrees with 80-90% humidity. In the summer, the water literally flows down the glass! As a result, we were concerned that all the electronics we have in our office would be affected by moisture, even running the air conditioner 24 hours a day, 7 days a week doesn't solve the problem. When we received this device a few weeks ago, this little bug collected an almost full pan of water from the air in our office on the first day alone! Keep in mind we've only had him for a few weeks, but hopefully he'll keep doing his job. It's small and not too loud (when you run it at low speed) even when sitting on our office desk. Only advice: if you have a few extra filters, buy them. Apparently, this company has issues with the availability of filters for many of its air purifiers. So grab them if you can and save them because luckily if you need them they won't be in stock! Update: April 24, 2019 We've had this little bug for 4 months now. He still does it without hesitation. We just received a filter replacement notification today which means the filter has lasted us around 4 months and we run the unit for at least 12-15 hours a day depending on need and keep it on a low speed due to too high noise figure. I'm sure we'll be open 24/7 as summer is fast approaching, temperatures are getting warmer here and the humidity is already around 80%! So we'll see how it fares over the summer and then with another update. I only wish these filters lasted a little longer at a replacement price of $30/year. But so many dehumidifiers don't have a HEPA filter option, so I'm actually glad it's there because it serves a dual purpose now that we're sitting next to it in the office knowing we're breathing clean air.
