I was hesitant to start assembling this product because you never know what instructions and finished parts you will get, but the drawings were clear and all the parts were properly aligned. . Overall it took less than 30 minutes at a leisurely pace and the only tricky part was the little aviary. The size of this scratching post is excellent. It is only a few meters high and fits into any room. It's light enough to be carried around easily, yet feels sturdy. I love that it has multiple functions including a toy for cats to hit, a small enclosure for them to hide in and a pocket on the side for them to rest in. I had some concerns about the strength of this piece, but it holds our heavier cat with no problem. I would highly recommend this scratching post, especially for those who aren't looking for a large object to dominate the space. I was very impressed.
