We have tried two such devices. The first device we brought back as the steam didn't get hot even after preheating and with enough water in it could have been a nice cooling face steamer. We thought it was just a lemon so we decided to return it for a replacement. The second block was better than the first. However, it's still just warm vapor. I can even dip my hand into the steam and leave it there next to an outlet where it should be the hottest. Please do not attempt this if your steamer actually works. I submerged the thermometer in steam and it doesn't come close to the minimum required temperature of 180 degrees Fahrenheit for disinfection. The product claims 250F - 270F vapor. The red light also kept coming on as if it needed to preheat again (for 2-3 minutes) in the middle of the test. I got sick so I missed the window to get it back. We're looking for a more commercial model that actually heats up enough to be able to be cleaned and disinfected. waste of money . very bad because the attachments looked great.
