Here's the thing. Anyone who says this is a regular LED strip has probably never bought others or doesn't know what to look for. First of all, this band has some typical things. I just bought this strip and a much longer strip and they both have the SAME components. The actual LEDs on this one and the circuitry between them are identical. In this respect it is therefore a normal LED strip. However, this is where the comparisons end. The difference between this strip and others I've used in the past is that this strip is so much better than the others I have and even better than the almost identical strip I just bought. BETTER glue on the back. My other light strips have lost their fixation in many places and are now hanging with tape. This strip has 3M adhesive strips on the back. This glue makes a world of difference when it comes to keeping lights on for years to come. 2.- This strip has high quality branding and visual appeal. If this stripe is visible to all, I would prefer this stripe to be on top and not the other stripes. He covered up cable connections and other areas that might make the strip look unprofessional. I have a light bar above my desk that illuminates my work from home and I wish I had a more professional light bar. 3. - This band has a waterproof coating. The Amazon listing doesn't advertise waterproofing, but the cover is identical to the waterproof LED strip I installed in front of my house that lights up my house's addresses. When I got this I decided to change my intended plan for this strip and use it outside because it is just as waterproof as another waterproof strip I bought a year ago. I don't know if they will continue to sell waterproof bands at this price point, but this is a great deal. Overall I like this LED strip. This is by far the best LED strip I have ever bought.
