I recently moved into an apartment, and while we have full window covering horizontal blinds, they still let in quite a bit of light and it makes watching tv difficult at times.When searching room darkening curtains, these were the first result and were what I felt the better product based on the cost and the size. The size was perfect for my windows so no alterations were necessary. Even though the size was almost too perfect (it was tricky to find the right placement for the rod, so after installing the rod, if these curtains were even half an inch shorter they wouldn't have worked) they are great!Our living room is mostly greys and blacks and silvers, so these purple curtains look amazing when hung up! They also do a great job in blocking the light that comes through the windows even with the blinds open. With the blinds closed, it's almost like there are two black holes on my walls sucking all of the available light from the room.The tiebacks were also a nice touch (even though I had to ask how to use them - hooks - hooks are the secret!)I especially love that each package comes with two panels - buying curtains by panels seems a tad ridiculous to me - but then again, I've never had to buy curtains. Each of my windows used two panels, so the price was great!
