My boys love it. - Small Animals

I feed my Oxbow rats for free but I use this stuff to spray their feeder (it's just a big basket with different sized plastic balls and some random items in it) and I have it also tucked into her tail wheel (it's attached to the side of the cage). It's a good reward for them and they love to dig around looking for the parts they need. In fact, they're crazy about it. My rats leave nothing behind like other formulas, they end up eating everything. It's very rare to find a mix that doesn't contain dried corn, which is a big no-no for rats. Dried corn contains mycotoxins, fungal contaminants that can cause tumors and liver cancer in rats. This has been proven in studies with convincing results. In particular, dried corn was found to increase levels of aflatoxin and fumonism in rats, leading to liver, kidney, and colon cancer. This is a really cheap filler that does not bring any tangible benefit and is a real danger to our babies. HOWEVER, there is cornmeal in this mix, which is not yet perfect and also poses a risk. Therefore, I would not recommend it as the only food source. My boys share a few teaspoons once or twice a week as a reward. TDLR: If you feed your rats a commercial formula, feed them this mixture in moderation.
