Does not work with MacBook Pro
This is exactly what I needed, but unfortunately it doesn't work. The problem is that the power adapter doesn't provide enough power to both send the signal from the MacBook Pro and power the laptop via USB-C, so it doesn't work. Slide out the display and turn on the device, the monitor will turn off and the power will cycle off and on again. I have to go back now, hopefully I can find an option that actually works.
