I love this stand. I needed a stand to elevate my laptop a bit when using it because I often leaned forward to look at the screen. I chose this stand because of the price and had no intention of using it as a mobile stand. So far I'm very happy with it. I was concerned about how much weight it could carry, but it didn't cause me any problems. I used a 2012 15.6 inch Samsung laptop at about 5 pounds and a 2020 13 inch MacBook Pro at 3.1 pounds. This stand is comfortable for holding both devices without significant flex - the Samsung has a little more flex, as you'd expect. What I've done seems like it can handle typing if you don't press on it too hard. My monitor is 24 inches and the stand puts both laptops at eye level. Overall, this is a great product at a great price. The material finish is well done, it does its job well and so far it looks like it will hold up for a while. Highly recommended!
