These are much larger pieces than shown in the photos in the listing. Actually not as many small parts as shown in the photos. hoping it wasn't dyed) yes they are definitely just dyed, completely white inside. They're the right weight and if you're doing a larger project or want to use it in a terrarium or garden they're great, but I work with smaller projects and they just weren't proportionate to what I'm doing.
