Serves a purpose

I wanted this to be more than just for the 6 diamond bit storage compartments (included), I wanted them to be highly visible and to grip my various pens. It was easy to build, just a little wobbly when holding it together while trying to tighten the rubber bands (the thick round pieces of elastic silicone in the picture). At each point where the slot enters another piece of "wood" (definitely not wood - it's very thin), put a rubber band on to hold it in place. holes where I am very disappointed. I have shown a few of my pins in holes in the picture. In the back row, the handmade acrylic handles I bought seem to dangle/swing from above. The hole is not wide enough for the pen to actually sit on. I don't think either of them even got to the second shelf, they just sit on top where the first bulge is in the handle. In the second row I have a handmade polymer clay pen. It works quite well in this slot although it's a little wonky but I would use it. The holes in the first row are so tiny that I think they only fit the basic pink and blue pen that comes with most diamond painting kits. You will hardly find a regular ballpoint pen that fits in these front holes! Functionally yes, but as you can imagine I wish the finger holes were bigger. So I will most likely just find 3 more trays (I have a ton of these sizes from DP kits) and use shelves with finger holes for more trays. 3 out of 5 for me. they just sit on it where's the first bump in the pen?
