Review on ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Canson Infinity Edition Etching Rag Fine Art Paper, Acid-Free for Printmaking, 8.5 x 11 Inch, Bright White, Pack of 10 Sheets by Dawn Fischer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I recently had to look for my new "plain " fine art inkjet paper as my previous one was discontinued.

I recently had to look for my new "plain" inkjet paper as my previous one was discontinued. I went through the usual; Ilford, Breathing Color, Moab, Museo, Inkpress, Epson etc. There are many good papers out there but this paper smells of quality. It's the right balance of texture and smoothness to add a little more to your image but also preserve exceptional detail. The brand is solid, which isn't always the case in this industry. The Canson Infinity website is informative and user-friendly. Another Canson product, the one I tried, the PrintmaKing Rag, is a perfectly fine paper with a light texture and "silky" soft cotton rag feel. However, this comes at a huge cost and is overkill unless you plan to ship your prints unvarnished. The Edition Etch rag has a similar texture to the Print rag but without the silky feel of a cotton rag, which is unnecessary for my purposes as the main texture is accented by the varnish I use but coats the fine fibers of the material are, so the extra luxury is a waste when decorating it. Very happy with this product, full and rich color. Of course one of the most expensive inkjet papers, but it's worth it and costs a little less than printing paper. I've happily found my new "main thing". and it's superfluous unless you want to send your prints unvarnished.
