my son spends most of the day at school in the sun, my husband likes to go for walks, it's his daily exercise. So I figured this set of two fans would be perfect for our family. I read the positive reviews and was dying to order it. I also read some negative reviews about this fan not being powerful enough to keep it cool. But I've decided to pay more attention to positive reviews than negative ones. When I received this fan I was happy to know that I have the blue/grey set. (As we can't pick specific colors I was afraid to get the pink/purple set as I bought it for my son and husband in other reviews). Excitedly I put in two AA batteries and turned it on. At first I thought I did something wrong. So I took out the batteries and replaced them with new batteries. But it doesn't matter. I'm sorry to say but this isn't a fan. I have a water spray fan of the same brand, I like it much better. If you are looking for fans to use under the sun, buy a water spray fan, but not this one. If you plan to use it in an air-conditioned room, this fan will help keep the air cool. I have experimented with this fan. I tested whether this fan can blow out the candlelight. NO. I put this fan at a distance like a fan with a necklace to the candle (the distance between the fan and your chin when wearing it as a fan with a necklace). This fan can't even blow out a candle.
