This was a replacement for my two keys which broke off at the end of the key with the remote. Luckily both times I was able to pull the key out before it completely broke in the ignition. After the keys were done I needed a hammer to break off the small piece of plastic still attached to the key as it couldn't be reused. To attach the same part, it was solid and could only be installed until it took a flathead screwdriver, a hammer, and a couple of light taps to get it in place. The actual case does a good job of holding the key in place with the remote. The only two things that set it apart from the OEM body are the lack of a Lexus badging and the fact that the remote buttons aren't flush with the face of the cover. That means the buttons are recessed a bit deeper into the remote, giving it a different feel. For me, though, that's a minor thing and doesn't change the fact that this is an excellent replacement for a broken remote case. It looks sturdy and should last a long time. UPDATE: Turns out they have a Lexus badge on the back of the key. It was covered in black tape, which I believe is done so the gold doesn't wear off before it reaches you. So the only real difference is that the buttons aren't flush like they are on the stock cover.
