I use it to check the dryness of firewood, so far so good. I have a bunch of different stacks of ammo that are drying out before separating, and sometimes I can't figure out which stack was seasoned next. This takes the guesswork out and ensures I only bring ready-seasoned wood into the house. The included instruction manual looks useful if you read what looks like Russian. Unfortunately I have no idea what it says. Luckily, the controls are simple and I think I'm using them correctly. The display is huge and very bright, making it easy to use. It comes with an extra pair of spikes and a set of cheap batteries to get you started. This is good value for money.
