For those who say it doesn't have surge protection, the object at the end of the hot and neutral wires is a metal oxide varistor, which has extremely high resistance in household voltages. and extremely low resistance exceeding these voltages. In other words, it has surge protection. It's minimal and simple, but what do you expect? This is an attractive three outlet power strip with a small surge protector. There are better surge protectors out there, but these are an inexpensive choice for everyday use. BTW I use it with a powerline adapter and the fact that it has no voltage regulation and relatively tight surge protection actually makes it a better choice for me.
