I recently purchased the Tinyroots Carbon Steel Bonsai Shear Pruning Scissors for my small bonsai tree and it has some pros and cons. On the positive side, these scissors are very sharp and can easily trim smaller branches without causing too much damage to the tree. They are also lightweight and have a comfortable grip, allowing for easy use. However, on the downside, I found that these scissors struggled with thicker branches and often required more force than anticipated. Additionally, while they are advertised as being ideal for defoliating, I found them to be less effective in this aspect and often left behind stray leaves. Overall, I would recommend the Tinyroots Carbon Steel Bonsai Shear Pruning Scissors for those looking to easily trim smaller branches on their bonsai trees. However, if you have larger, thicker branches or are looking for precise defoliation, you may want to consider other options.
