As we live in an old industrial house with 7ft ceilings I needed a low profile projector mount. Installing this device only took about 20 minutes after I assembled the drill, drill bits, screwdriver and pliers. After having a rough idea of where to mount the projector, I adjusted the position slightly to find the nearest ceiling joists. A few minutes with a drill and some 3" bolts securely attached the mounting base to the ceiling. Another 10 minutes to attach the bracket to the projector and that's it. Simple instructions combined with the fact that all parts are in separate bags make installing the projector easy. From the ceiling to the bottom of the projector is only 8 inches.
