I used this as a replacement rear bumper for a 2000 Trans Am. You have 2 options to get this working, you can take a 1/2" x 1" x 6" aluminum and drill 2 holes for spacers, or you can take your old fender, cut off the rubber and that remaining 1 use /2" socket as platform for installation. I went the aluminum route. I also originally planned on using 2 spacers to keep the bumper at factory height, but I also had lower springs and found that the extra 1/2" left only 1/2" of travel. I believe the factory rubber gave them more, so using a 1/2" spacer instead of a 1" spacer may be optimal. Anyway, it works great and so far I've only had one bottoming out with the new suspension and it was like a new car bottoming out, a gentle slap on that side of the suspension for a split second then it was all back normally . This is a huge improvement over hitting the ground and hearing a loud smack.
