Description of High-Performance Energy Suspension 9.9137R Universal Bump Stop for Jeep

Durability is superior for cars, trucks and SUVs; road salt, oil, and a host of other common under car contaminants will eventually destroy the rubber bushings on your vehicles, not to mention the weight and torque forces that typically compress rubber. Hyper-Flex replacement polyurethane components stand up well to contaminants that often destroy rubber and have been engineered to give longer-lasting performance and not compress permanently. Hyper-Flex is offered in a variety of durometers (firmness or softness), depending on product application; performance tested and race proven; used for all of Energy Suspension products that require a higher level of performance and durability. If you are modifying, building a new vehicle for scratch or restoring an old one, Energy Suspension's Hyper-Flex performance polyurethane should be the 'ground zero' focus of your present and next vehicle plans. Over two decades of in-house experience in innovating, engineering and formulating wide selection of polyurethane components for many different industries, Energy Suspension has qualified as premier manufacturer of the high quality polyurethane products.

Great replacement part detail

Perfect replacement for a part that GM no longer makes. I run into this a lot on my 19 year old sports car. Same mounting holes, same size for all sizes, and urethane for longer life

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • Modern

Great for 4th generation F-body

Used for 4th generation F-body. Much cheaper than dedicated F-body fenders. As others have said, all you have to do is sand down the studs so they sit flush. You will see exactly what should happen when you remove the old stops. 5 minutes with a cut-off wheel, some paint or anti-rust, and then screw on the baddies.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Fits 4th generation Camaro with re-drilled holes and plastic trim

The vertical flange on the vehicle interfered with the installation of this bumper. I had to enlarge the mounting holes on the outside by about 1/8" and use a wood rasp to narrow the plastic to fit. After installation it was about 1/4" shorter than the stock bumper. It takes about an hour to make the identify and make changes.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Damaged

Fits Camaro/Firebirds 82-02F body works great

Great wedge set I know it's for Jeep but it also fits 82-02F bodies and it worked on my Firebird 98 and will fit all 82-02 GM F cases, as mentioned you will need to trim a very small piece from the edge to make them fit, but it is a very easy job and works better and a lot cheaper than standard rubber cases. Big

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Wrinkled package

Not for Jeep ZJ (93-98 Grand Cherokee)

Fender hole pattern too big for ZJ. Also, I said it wasn't compatible when it was supposed to be generic and Revain charged me $5 to ship it back (Bad Revain). TransAms? Has anyone actually installed them on a jeep? The mounting holes are 4.2" center to center if that helps someone make the right choice when ordering.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Rear suspension sounds and feels New

Thanks to other feedback I was able to properly replace it with a 2000 SS. I ended up buying a coffee grinder from Walmart for $30, but I really did it. Before putting the stops back in place I painted the brushed metal as suggested by others. Very easy with the right tools and absolutely no tapping. The hardest part was one of the wheel locks was tightened to over 150 ft/lbs but the discount tire removed it in just 5 minutes. I don't think they can be replaced in the future if needed. The old…

Has not been used as advertised but was fitted to my Colorado.

I have a 2006 Chevy Colorado, one rear suspension bumper had cracked all the way to metal and the other fell apart. They weren't advertised as fitting but the fitting part was much more expensive or didn't come within a month. I used a chainsaw file to file enough to get the bolt through. The part didn't extend far enough to fit another bolt, so I put in a larger washer and covered the metal of the bumper. They are also slightly shorter but I don't think that will be a problem.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Cleanliness

Perfect for replacing a 2000 Trans Am rear bumper

I used this as a replacement rear bumper for a 2000 Trans Am. You have 2 options to get this working, you can take a 1/2" x 1" x 6" aluminum and drill 2 holes for spacers, or you can take your old fender, cut off the rubber and that remaining 1 use /2" socket as platform for installation. I went the aluminum route. I also originally planned on using 2 spacers to keep the bumper at factory height, but I also had lower springs and found that the extra 1/2" left only 1/2" of travel. I believe the…

Used on the rear of a 4th generation Camaro

I purchased this universal fender after reading that it could be fitted to the rear of a 4th generation Camaro with some minor vehicle modifications. Factory Z28 fenders used to be about $35 each. They weren't made for a while and when they were returned they cost $85. Since my car is not intended for any racing and has about 120 kilos of stereo in the trunk I went with these inexpensive universal Polly jacks as my car is just a daily thug. Also, my car has been lowered two inches, so it often…
