Review on High-Performance Energy Suspension 9.9137R Universal Bump Stop for Jeep by Mike Sutherland

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Used on the rear of a 4th generation Camaro

I purchased this universal fender after reading that it could be fitted to the rear of a 4th generation Camaro with some minor vehicle modifications. Factory Z28 fenders used to be about $35 each. They weren't made for a while and when they were returned they cost $85. Since my car is not intended for any racing and has about 120 kilos of stereo in the trunk I went with these inexpensive universal Polly jacks as my car is just a daily thug. Also, my car has been lowered two inches, so it often hits the fenders on rough roads. After I cut the unnecessary lip on the inner fender these stops bolted straight on and still seem to work fine and while they're a bit stiffer than the originals it's not too bad. Continue to encourage anyone involved in drag or street racing to keep going and spend more on new factory stops. Polly bumpers are practically out of place in a car with serious handling because they almost always hit too hard, messing up the chassis and hitting the tires.
