This is a very durable and useful set of measuring cups and spoons. I have measured out cups or even quarter cups in my 2 cup glass measuring cup. It works, but it's a lot easier to have this metal cup that I can dip in flour or whatever and then flatten. Volume levels are impressive by any measure - they're not going away. These cups and spoons are made of metal: they will last a long time. I like that they should be stronger than my plastic measurements and that the plastic doesn't come into contact with my food. Each of these measures also has a magnet built into the handle. I removed the stylus' plastic cover to clean it before use and the magnet came out with the stylus. It's a pretty strong magnet - so strong that when I snapped the magnets from all the cups and spoons together, I had a hard time separating them. I don't really have a handy metal surface to attach these gauges to, but they stay together and the plastic around their handles makes them easy to separate. All in all great!
