UPDATE with FIX! : I bought another one from Lowes today while waiting for two replacements from Revain. It didn't work either! So I decided to cut off the third "tooth" as my current filter that I took out showed that tooth had been deformed by the force required to slide it into the refrigerator's receiver. I thought it wasn't necessary and it isn't. Wow, now it fits. Wow, I'm thirsty! Original: I keep buying this particular item over and over again. Last time I bought 2 filters and none fit. The box looks the same and the only difference I can see between the old and new is that there is a thicker plastic ring on one part. I don't want to use a knife and make it fit though. I'll try to shop at Sears tomorrow. I've since ordered a replacement from Revain.
