Since my 5 year old i7-2700K 16GB DDR3 computer is great for basic performance, browsing and video playback, I decided to upgrade my GPU to an EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FE to handle all gaming needs to fulfill. Along with the GPU, I decided to buy a spacious Thermaltake Core X71 case, lots of Thermaltake Riing Blue LED 120mm fans, NZXT Kraken G12, and two Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate 360mm monoblocks to power both the CPU and to cool the GPU. I got this case because I knew I wanted an AIO to cool both my CPU and GPU. I've been looking at technical drawings and videos on youtube and saw that there are rubber grommets that allow cables to be routed between the top and bottom bays, which would allow me to potentially install an AIO heatsink in the bottom bay! Took a risk and it worked! I had to move my GPU from the first PCIEx16 slot to the second but the AIO holds up! The installation was of course a bit tedious, but it works! If you're using the NZXT G12 and want to separate the CPU and GPU AIOs and have good airflow through the case, this is a fantastic option. and I think it will still be flexible enough for custom water cooling in the future if I ever go there.
