I work in a healthcare facility and we use these scoops for portion control. This is great for home use as you can use it to hold 1/2 serving of anything. This is especially helpful if you are on a diet and watching your calories. I make a big batch of quinoa all week long, but only eat 1/2 cup for breakfast. I can scoop 1/2 cup portions into a storage container and they're ready to put on my breakfast plate each morning.
