The blanket is cute, colorful and holds up very well to my crazy dog who jumps on it 200 times a day. However, this thing sheds like there's no tomorrow. I'm not the type of person who whines when they see even a piece of lint ripped from a blanket or towel after I've washed it. I assume these things will last a few washes but oh my god this is very different. I've washed this item, no kidding, at least 6 times (color hasn't faded, so here's the thing) and every time I've had to wipe the inside of my washing machine to get anything that fell off the comforter, then I shake it before putting it in the dryer to pat more THEN I put it in the dryer. Everyone. Lonely. Time. This thing produced a baby version of itself in my lint catcher like it had never been washed before. Even I, who fully expects cheaper things to shed and doesn't worry about it, was shocked at how much shedding this little blanket is. Otherwise the size is fine. It is not very big and designed for one person only. It's not soft either (even after a few washes), but it's not like sandpaper or anything either. As I said, the colors are very rich and vibrant and it's very cute and long lasting, especially if my dog hasn't destroyed it yet. But it's really just decoration and you shouldn't buy it for any real purpose.
