Once you have them installed you will notice that there is a black cover on the outer base of the mirror which can be removed to reveal the four screws that attach the mirror glass and leg to the base which are attached to the door is attached. Start with a flat scraper, screwdriver, or wedge on the rear-facing side of the vehicle. The front of the cover is not designed to be broken off. And just work in the crease until you gently open the lid. With four screws that allow you to adjust the angles above the mirror. Just unclip all 4 but don't take them off. (Head 5/16) Remove the 2 upper screws one by one. I opted for 2 pucks. Lower the profile of the mirror. Then tighten the screws again. I had to remove some plastic from the black cover's inner skeleton before it snapped into place. But everything was easy. I don't understand why they don't just come here.
