I'm not a coffee expert. I wanted a drip for the time, just a cup would have been nice. I tried a few other drippers but the holes at the bottom were too big. I have a french press, but I hate flour getting in the cup. I'm not that picky when it comes to comparing the two, temperature, grind, etc. This particular dripper has a nice color. It's easy to clean. But more importantly the holes are correct so you can get a good drink. My only caveat is that you will end up with a much stronger cup of coffee because the holes and shape allow water to actually flow into and through the beans. You'll have to play around with the amount of grains you use and how well you grind them when using this. Otherwise you'll end up with a damn strong cup of coffee. If this is what you want, you are in good hands with us. I was glad I returned all the others and bought this one.
