Well! Rey is essentially a vivoactive 4S in white and silver

I was looking for a replacement for my Apple Watch Series 2 after the latest "upgraded" models came out with almost the same battery life as older models. I have also used vivosmart HR in the past. My priorities were battery life, checking text messages, showing my upcoming appointments on the calendar (so I don't miss them), sleep tracking, activity tracking, and being able to help me find my iPhone. I wanted the watch to be smaller and more beautiful, with a metal bezel. I chose the Vivoactive 4S but I wanted white and silver which wasn't possible. From what I can see, the Rey model is basically the same but costs a little more (and comes with an additional leather strap). I'm not particularly interested in Star Wars, but I don't find it offensive either. When I reached the goal of the step I actually got a Star Wars related celebration on my watch and there are similar little references to Star Wars in other programs. The Venu would have had a brighter screen, but also a larger size and a slight drop in battery life, which I didn't want. by cold?). The battery was at 10% three days and nights later after using it all night with the second hand and heart rate monitor on. It's better than before and I'm curious to see how it performs on a full charge and if I disable those features. It does most of what I wanted. I chose the pre-installed watch face which allowed me to add a difficulty/date field showing the time of my next appointment on the calendar. I haven't found one yet that tells me the name of the meeting (like the modular dial I've used on my other watches). I can swipe my face a few screens to see a calendar widget detailing the next few appointments on the calendar, so it's all good. Would like a similar watch face without the second hand for better battery life. Still looking for options over connect IQ. The case battery is an interesting feature. I don't expect it to be exact, but it motivates me to try and recharge the next morning to face the day (a little nudge to go to bed earlier). Sleep tracking - doesn't see naps (or doesn't allow you to record them). Allows you to edit the start and end times. I don't expect the sleep tracking to be super accurate. He looks very good when I get up. I often edit my bedtime, mostly because I set the window I expect to sleep in a bit wider than reality so it captures everything, and as a result I usually have to edit my bedtime in the morning. This model rates REM - vivosmart HR which I've been using for a while - no. My deep sleep duration is estimated to be a lot less (usually less than an hour) on the Rey for the past few days than on the old VS HR. What I rely on is a sleep time log. It would be nice if it was the best sleep coach. Face. It's weak, but at least it's always on (which is better than the clock I replaced). I've included photos of the face in a dimly lit room, another with overcast light coming through a north-facing window, and another with the clock backlit at 20-30%. Sometimes it looks a bit darker than in these photos - I didn't have more patience. I specifically wanted such a display for better battery life. If you're a fanatical avoider of blue light, this could be good for you. You can turn off the backlight (but that makes it useless at night). Frame. The photos show the size of the watch on my hand. For the record, my wrist is medium sized (but not tiny). I like the white case and there is only a tiny bit of metal on the back which should help me avoid nickel allergy issues. The case is a bit thicker than I would like, but that's what I expected before I bought it. The face is very flat and should do well with a screen protector. Strap - I prefer the silicone strap that also came with the watch - it's very comfortable. The leather strap near the clasp annoyed me a bit. It's nice to have options and it was very easy to switch. I can buy a spare silver band to decorate. One benefit for me: the same ecosystem as the vivofit4 I have for my kid, with a year's battery life and the ability to see the weather every morning. Happy child = happy parents. As for paying with the device, not as many cards work with it as with your phone. If this is important to you, please check which cards are supported by Garmin Pay before purchasing.
