Garlic is on the lamb feed need list! Why Add Garlic?

Not every product has garlic on the list, please read the poverty carefully. I missed this when I ordered lamb, thinking the formula was the same as chicken just with a different protein. My vet warned me about garlic and onions, which are found in most chicken broths. I used chicken broth to feed my older dog when he got old and sick. I also have a friend who gave garlic to his dogs to kill fleas. His dogs became ill and one died of gmolytic anemia. According to the Merck Veterinary Manual, garlic and other members of the onion family, including onions, contain thiosulfate, which is toxic to dogs but not humans. Thiosulfate causes oxidative damage to red blood cells, resulting in hemolytic anemia. This is nothing new, so why are they adding garlic to their food? Also, I found a couple of dented cans and my dogs ate the mix but reluctantly. Revain refunded my purchase. Thanks Revane, but they still have garlic in their lamb recipe and they don't take back jars. What should I do with potentially hazardous dog food?
