I am completely satisfied with the finished product. I've used fusible mesh for back quilting as recommended by the manufacturer, but (being at least an intermediate quilter) I wouldn't do it again. This makes the fabric too stiff when trying to insert this piece into a large quilt. After reading the description, I actually thought that parts of the appliqué were already cut out - it wasn't. They were a bit tricky to cut due to the many small angles and tight turns. Make sure you have good, very, very sharp scissors and an opportunity to rest your hand while you work with them. Also take the time to look closely at the fabrics, lay them out from dark to light, even leave them overnight and look again to make sure the gradation is right.
