I love my car but it's outdated and missing some features such as: B. Bluetooth streaming from a smartphone. I'm old school and I have all my albums on my phone and computer. Since I couldn't use music from my phone in the car, I did the following: put music on SD memory cards (probably my car only supports 32 GB or less SD drives; no problem really, you can store a TON of music on a 32GB SD card, even with a high transfer rate) and bought this PCMCIA interface that fits my machine. Works great! With my COMAND interface, I can navigate through folders and select the music I want to play. Sounds cool, no stuttering or anything. The ONLY complaint I have is that the system takes about 10 seconds to start the car (seems like a long time (see first pic); I'm pretty sure it's the car, not the - for the PCMCIA interface) before the system reads the card and starts playing music. Again, this is only when you start the car. There is no lag when moving from folder to folder, album to album, or song to song. In general, this dual 32GB SD card interface is just a gift! I can play all my music in Dolby 7.1 through my Harman Kardon LOGIC7 surround sound system with 14 610W speakers. GREAT! I highly recommend it.
