Recessed light installation requires a metal junction box, which is not included with this product. It does not meet any state's electrical codes and will not pass inspection. If you try to sell your property, the Housing Inspectorate will ask you to replace it. In the event of a fire, if the insurance company determines that the fire was caused by these built-in lights, there is a high possibility of arbitration as the installation was not done correctly. I'm a general contractor in several states including Florida and just bought 4 but can't use them. Especially since I replace bad lighting to meet home inspection requirements.
