This remote control is not a genuine RC-799M. As another reviewer mentioned, this remote is missing some buttons found on the original RC-799M, and many of the buttons on this remote don't work with the Onkyo receiver. The volume button works which fixes the slow response time issue I had with my old remote and some buttons work but don't replace my old remote. I will ask for a refund and a refund for this one. UPDATE: Revane was great to have come back. You can find a genuine Onkyo remote on the Onkyo website for about $10 more, and it will be the same remote that came with your Onkyo device when you bought it.
