I like that it's much more convenient for the fridge and I can pour hot water in straight from the kettle as it's rated for above boiling temperatures. It seals well so it can be turned upside down to shake. I used to have a large liter jug, but it got dirty and took up a lot of space. It leaves no tea stains. Edit... I take back what I said about the lid gasket. Now it pops out easily, splashing and burning me when I try to shake my tea.
