Easy to install and works great. You simply screw one end into the base and then screw the bulb into the socket. This will make the bulb stick out about 1/4 inch higher than it would naturally stand, but it's worth it. I found a lamp that I should have had, but it needed European size bulbs. Instead of settling for another light or looking for European light bulbs every time a light bulb goes out, we decided to order these lights. Now we can run to our local hardware store to replace a lightbulb if needed.
