Review on Sierra 18 2603 Lower Shift Cable by Brad Bowers

Great kit - I have a 1985 Larson DC175 with a 3.0 Merc engine and an Alpha 1 Generation 1 gearbox. The cable length was the same as the original shot, everything else had an exact fit. For one, the water intake O-ring was slightly larger than the OE. I had a set of o-rings lying around and I used a better fitting one. It's nice to have both pads as my outdrive is an Alpha 1 Gen 1 which uses a six hole pad. I believe the other gasket in the kit fits the Alpha 1 Gen 2 design, but I believe it can work on Gen 1. The quality is very good, the sealing material is good, not cheap. Comes with everything you need to replace a worn shift cable. Good quality cable bellows too, not the cheap shiny rubber you see on other kits.
