Review on IETS Cooling Flexible Colorful Adjustable by Mike Sutton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very impressive! in Notebook Accessories

I researched many cooling pads before deciding on this one and I'm glad I did. As mentioned in most other reviews, it's a bit noisy, but that will be the case with most (efficient) cooling pads. Standing alone, it's no worse than my laptop's fans (Alienware Area 51m - 17"), but two and three sounds like a powerful desktop machine. I only use it when I start my virtual machine, so it's not a big one Thing the headset speakers muffle the sound. What attracted me to this particular device was the extra features. My favorite silicone sealant that keeps dust out. As a pet owner, I deal with dust and dog hair all the time. It even has an air filter, to ensure all the air it pumps is free of particles, which is incredibly handy. The air intake is on the back where some of my computer's vents are, so it could potentially circulate hot air, but I had no problems. It comes with air flaps (plastic fins) which you can attach to prevent hot air from being recirculated but they don't seem to be necessary. This could potentially be an issue if your laptop ONLY has rear vents, but I can't think of any with this design (unless you're using a 15 year old laptop). While it's a bit more expensive than the average cooling pad, I'm surprised at how affordable the price is for the performance. It's probably overkill for a laptop that's only going to be used for day-to-day use (social media or writing), but if you're a gamer this is the best value for your money. It's made specifically for PC gaming and definitely worth the money. If I criticized something, maybe I put a cooler LED in it? But I'd just argue at this point, this thing is too efficient and affordable to bother with aesthetics.
