Powerful fans, notebook heats up easily to 42 degrees

I recently got my hands on a Zephyrus G14 and apparently it's notorious for running hot despite a seemingly efficient cooling system. Even according to the specification, the laptop can withstand 52-55°C at its peak with the fans set to 2/3. I usually run the power plan with acceleration disabled and it drops to mid 40's when playing League of Legends/Maplestory which don't use a lot of CPU/RAM initially. GTA V with maximum specs is still in the 50's. Everything stays nice and cool and I can't…

It's pointless, it's better to blow a real fan inside the laptop

This cooler looks sturdy and looks good, but that's about it. There doesn't seem to be any technique behind it other than "Hey, let's just blow some air in the laptop." Basically this just blows air into your laptop from the bottom, the vents on the back don't do anything anyway, they just blow hot air Air blowing your laptop back out. Technically, the rear exhaust vents should draw in cool (room temperature) air. ) back to the bottom of the laptop, but most if not all gaming laptops blow air…

Significant cooling on Acer Nitro 5

I bought a cheap Acer laptop on Black Friday. While playing (civ 6) the CPU temperature jumped to 180 and 190 (f). One of the reviews for this laptop noted that the thermal management is poor. I think the processor and graphics card are too close together. When I bought this Microcenter laptop for $500, I also bought a cooling pad that had decent reviews for about $30. It just didn't help much, so after some research I took a chance. At first I was extremely disappointed. With a new cooling pad

Very impressive! in Notebook Accessories

I researched many cooling pads before deciding on this one and I'm glad I did. As mentioned in most other reviews, it's a bit noisy, but that will be the case with most (efficient) cooling pads. Standing alone, it's no worse than my laptop's fans (Alienware Area 51m - 17"), but two and three sounds like a powerful desktop machine. I only use it when I start my virtual machine, so it's not a big one Thing the headset speakers muffle the sound. What attracted me to this particular device was the…

The best cooler I've ever used.

This cooler is by far the best cooler I have ever tried, the size is not bad, the noise level is acceptable and the cooling performance can be measured. basically the perfect size for a 17 inch laptop. So if you can use a 17-inch laptop on your lap, you can drive it on your lap if you need to. I've also added a snapshot of my laptop (rtx2060/i5-9300h) while gaming with laptops, built-in fans at 100%, shows the temp until I turn the cooler down to low first and then wait about 30-60 seconds to…

The last laptop cooling pad I had was the Cooler Master NotePal X3. It didn't even help half as much as this pill. I have an MSI Apache Pro GE72 which can play most games on medium to high settings. However, depending on the game and settings, this can lead to very high temperatures (especially the CPU temperature). I recently tried to play a game that I've been playing for a while and the CPU and GPU temperatures hit high 80s/low 90s (Celsius). While laptops are rated for higher temperatures…

Very well done! :): Computers & Accessories

I've used several different gaming laptop coolers since trying to take really good care of my electronics so they last as long as possible. For reference, I'm using the Acer Predator Helios 300 (2018) (15.6") version with this cooler. In the case of gaming laptops, these devices are essentially the "enemies" of two things: 1. Heat and 2. Dust I was very intrigued as was the very high fan speed (4500RPM) as almost no cooler I've found tops 2500RPM First let me get to the bottom of the only…
