Review on 🦄 Unicorn Crystals Science Experiments by Playz by Austin Wolf

I really liked this kit as I thought most consumables were included for the price. It is not. There is a huge list of additional consumables that you will need. The item description briefly mentions "Just add common household ingredients and tools from around the house" and says "Creations your child will love instantly". You can't use it "right out of the box". There are a few important things that I don't consider "normal" household items. Things like very fine white sand, fluorescent paint and black light to name a few. I wouldn't give this away because I would feel awful knowing they couldn't use it. The instructions are vague and poorly written. . For example Kenet sand. As you can see from my photos, he tells you to mix "a jar of sand". Nowhere is it specified how much sand to use. I think you could probably find these experiments online for free and with more detailed instructions. However, these are pretty cool experiments. I love how he explains the reactions and talks about what's going on scientifically. While it will require more shopping for necessary supplies, it will be fun to use this summer and my child will learn. I will keep this set for myself but I will not buy again for a gift and do not recommend it.
