This is not a forever product. Consider it a sacrifice item, which is why you get two. Break one off and order again when fitting a replacement. They have a lifespan and are designed to save your screen. They don't scratch easily and are quite hard. I broke two of them in very hard falls (like oh no my phone definitely fell apart!) which would likely have shattered my screen and shattered completely rendering my phone unusable. Every time I thought my screen was cracked but it's not, just a cracked screen protector. I will continue to buy these as they work phenomenally, absorbing impact energy (causing the tread to crack) and not transferring energy to the phone screen, saving me a ton of money compared to buying new iPhone 12 mini screens.
