Lots of stainless steel screws

They fail the magnet test but most stainless steel fasteners fail due to other alloys. It's really hard to tell when and when the fastener will rust and if it's enough or fast enough to destroy the fastener. In my experience, when they are in the elements they will eventually show signs of rust, but not enough to destroy the structure of the fastener, rather the appearance.
