The door itself is easy to assemble and works well. The only problem, and I think it's a pretty big one, is that it works with a magnet that sticks to the cat's collar. I can only assume that the people who did this had never seen the cat or its collar before. Ring D, which the cat may have, is metal, and most often dog tags and the like are metal, as are attachment rings. I mentioned metal. what about a magnet? If you just stick it, you will find that the cute little magnet sticks to the metal and becomes ineffective to open the door. Mu's solution was to remove the D-ring, use an alternative non-metallic ID card, and secure the whole thing with plastic zip ties. It works fine, but I didn't have to go through all that since all cat collars have metal. To do that, they need a better system.
