I use this on my tractor in the winter to keep it charged when clearing snow. You can connect a short adapter cable to the battery with ring terminals and secure the cable end with a cap under the hood. Then, when snow is forecast, I just plug in the charger and connect the charging cable to the adapter cable and when I need the tractor, it starts even in the freezing temperatures. For this application it's much easier and quicker than messing around with battery clips or my big charger. I wish I had bought this sooner.
